Be Internet Legends

KS2 pupils at Sylvester Primary Academy recently took part in an engaging, hands on assembly focusing on online safety, hosted by Parent Zone in collaboration with Google.

Be Internet Legends is an interactive educational programme from Google and Parent Zone which helps primary school children across the UK become safer and more confident explorers of the online world.

As we are all aware, children’s online safety is vital, and teaching responsible internet use builds awareness and resilience, while safeguarding individuals in what is an increasingly dangerous arena. Safe digital habits can also help children to explore, learn and connect confidently.

Anneliese Midgley, the Member of Parliament for Knowsley (pictured centrally above), was also in attendance to reaffirm the importance of staying safe online.

Ms Midgley commented:

“I had a fantastic time joining Sylvester Primary Academy for the Be Internet Legends assembly today.

"It was so good to see the pupils so engaged and enthusiastic about learning how to stay safe, kind, and confident online."
